This page provides you with important information about how to get prepared for your journey, help on major issues usually encountered in the process, guides and important tips on your safari.
Where can you find Travel Help?
There is a list of specialist locations inside the tickets. If you
can't get to one of these you can go to your nearest STA Travel branch,
link up with TravelHelp services by phone, Fax, courier or Email you
may be asked to pay the communication or delivery charges on top of the
fees shown) this may add time to the service as we need to deliver
tickets.
Want to change your date of travel?
So long as you're new date is still within the valid time we can change
it for you on the spot (subject to flight and booking class
availability). We call this 'revalidation', which means you usually
won't have to wait for another ticket to be issued - for no more than
USD 25 each passenger, we'll take care of all those details.
Want to change your ticket?
You'll need to if you switch dates to one which is outside the original
validity time (typically switching from low to high season, or form
some mid week bookings to weekends and you'll need to change ticket
if you change your route or airline. Again, for USD 50 for each
passenger, we'll find the value of your existing ticket which can be
transferred towards the cost of your new ticket. All of that should
take not more than 1-2 working days when you bring in your ticket to a
branch.
If your ticket gets lost or stolen?
We can reissue an exact replica of the original. All you need to do is
sign a document called the lost document Indemnity Form, which confirms
that the original ticket has either been lost or stolen. For a USD 50
fee (for each lost ticket) we will contact the branch through which the
original was issued, and arrange everything to do with the reissue -
again this should take no more than 1-2 days to work through - but
tickets can only be issued in one of our branches, so if you are in a
remote place we will need to add delivery time and charges.
Think you should have a refund?
You'll need to talk to the branch where you bought your ticket. You may
be able to have a refund, if you've changed some of your travel plans - even when you have used part of the ticket (though this is not always
possible
